Holland 1966 Retro Football Shirt
The Dutch national team came to preeminence in the 1970s, but just a few years earlier, in 1966, the squad was already taking shape. New coach Georg Keßler inherited a squad based around a strong core of Ajax players. Bennie Muller was a fixture in midfield, but it was the Amsterdam club's attacking quartet of Piet Keizer, Sjaak Swart, Klaas Nuninga and a young Johan Cruyff who really caught the eye.
It was the young prodigy who scored one of the goals to put Holland ahead against Hungary in that year's important European Nations Cup qualifier.
