Real Betis 1915 Retro Football Shirt
Betis as we know it is the result of a merger in late 1914 between Sevilla Balompié and Betis FC. Having obtained the royal patronage from King Alfonso XIII a few months earlier gave rise to the iconic name Real Betis Balompié, resulting in an institution still standing strong to this day. A lesser known fact is that, following the historic merger and new name, Betis would play its first few matches in a striking yellow and black striped shirt. Although returning to its historic verdiblanco shortly after, the yellow and black remains iconic among those most interested in the club’s heritage.
